We're always concerned about patient comfort when we perform dental
treatments. And thanks to an advanced, computerized medication delivery
system called "The WAND", we can now administer local anesthetic
injections with little or no discomfort.
Discomfort from a dental injection is not usually due to the needle itself, but from injecting the solution too quickly. The Wand’s control mechanism manages the anesthetic's flow and volume at a slow rate, eliminating sensation by keeping the area below the pain threshold. In fact, the system even drops a tiny bit of medication at the injection site prior to needle insertion, creating a comfortable injection pathway.
